Venkata Yenugonda, PhD

Dr. Yenugonda is an accomplished small molecule and lipid nanoparticle drug discovery and delivery research executive with more than 15 years of broad experience in science, technologies, business, and management sectors. Several of his novel drug discovery and delivery technologies were licensed to pharma companies for commercial development. Dr. Yenugonda has a deep understanding of the field and working knowledge in the drug product development process, including nonclinical pharmacology, CMC, drug substance (API), as well as IND application frameworks. He has contributed and held 3 issued US patents, 2 PCT, and one provisional patent; and his scientific contribution has received 32 accepted peer-reviewed manuscripts in high-impact journals. He was the recipient of multiple awards for his contribution to chemical research. Dr. Yenugonda holds a Master’s degree in organic chemistry and received his Ph.D. in Nanomedicinal Chemistry from one of the world’s earliest groups in gene delivery and gene therapy fields.
